Tangled lantern and gift boxes

 Jared wanted to give someone a lantern like from the movie Tangled.  We used a round Dollar Tree lantern that runs on batteries with a sun cut out.  Much safer than the "one time floats away with fire inside" version from Thailand.

The green box was my first try and I didn't use contrasting colors, so I had to turn over the cut outs and past them on the box sides to add contrast.  I was lucky it was two toned paper.

These gift boxes can be made with any cut out shape in any color.  This shape was originally made as baby blocks with letters on each side.  Any way they are done, they turn out great, and are quick to put together.  Each block takes a 12" by 12" sheet of cardstock.
